About

Social Media. Filmmaking. Storytelling. Bookish nerd.

Hey! I’m Marissa Pina and I’m a photojournalist turned video director and producer turned social media engagement expert. I’m passionate about storytelling and creating films that shine a light on different lived experiences. I work full time at PBS as the Senior Manager of Social Media Engagement. I’m probably explaining brainrot or producing series that innovate content marketing.

I’m originally from Philadelphia but have found myself in the DMV by way of NYC. I am graduate of Temple University. I’m a recipient of two Webby Awards, two Hearst Journalism Awards for original projects, a Dow Jones News Fund Internship Alumna, and most recently an award winning filmmaker for my short documentary, Black Girl Church. Want to work together? Just say the word.
